Yet another “Oath of Office” to be given

    America,
We are again faced with an appointed official whom will be taking an "Oath of Office". This person will be in this position for life.
The "Oath" given is that of a Supreme Court Justice.

According to Title 28, Chapter I, Part 453 of the United States Code, each Supreme Court Justice takes the following oath:
"I, [NAME], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as [TITLE] under the Constitution and laws of the United States. So help me God."

I do not see the words "Empathy" or "Compassion" or "Pity" in this "Oath of Office"

    Justice is BLIND

One of my feelings about America today

    Dear fellow Americans.

I have a question to ask of all Americans. It concerns the Oath of Office.

How many of you, have taken or pledged to an “Oath of Office”?

Surely somebody has taken or pledged to an “Office” or become a “Public Servant” or has been affiliated with an organization (such as the US Army, US Navy, as a Law Enforcement Officer, or a Firefighter, the Boy Scouts or the Girl Scouts, or has become a Naturalized Citizen of the United States…..) which has required or requested you to make an obligation to an “Office” or “position of authority”, or an acceptance of obligation to a group or membership within a group, organization or club.

On January 20th, every four years the President and Vice President, take an oath of office. It is called, being sworn into the office of representation of “We the People, of the United States of America”.

Other government officials and some appointees also are sworn or affirmed into their positions. They have accepted or committed to a responsibility to “We the People”. This acceptance of position or authority carries some form of accountability to the people of whom you have obligated yourself to serve.

The President’s Cabinet, Sectaries of Departments, Members of Congress, and the 9 Justices of the Supreme Court, the Attorney General of the United States. The Governor and Lt. Governor of your State, your states legislators, your states Attorney General, I think you now have the concept down. All have been “Sworn In or Affirmed To” an “Office of the people”.

Most of the “Oath’s of Office”, in the United States of America, contain the words, “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the Untied States of America”, and some also contain the words, “ from all enemies foreign and domestic.”

Well my fellow American Citizen(s), I feel, in my own opinion, that our elected and appointed officials, and federal and state employees, and less not forget the local governments’. Have let us down, betrayed us and just plain not fulfilled the responsibilities of their office(s). Some officials and / or appointees’ have gone as far as to deny their accountability for the “Office” in which the person has been charged responsible for.

My feelings are not that of a sole political party or affiliation to a group, nor gender specific, ethnicity, sexual orientation, race, color, creed or religion. It is a feeling of heart and out of love for my country called, The United States of America.

America our “constitution” is and has been under attack from within for many years. This is not a Democrat or Republican, Left or Right, nor a Liberal or Conservative problem. It is a, I am an American Citizen problem.

Together, WE THE PEOPLE can get this country back on track. “WE” need to educate the children, the up and coming “Next Generation”, “The Youth of America”, the basic values set forth in our Constitution of the United States of America. “WE” also need to remind the current population of American Citizens of their responsibilities and accountability to the constitution and to uphold the Bill of Rights.

If you feel the same as I do, Please feel free to copy this statement and add your name to it. Then email, post and / or publish it on your blog.
